Stinkyink.com, based in Shropshire, is an online superstore for printer consumables providing supplies for all inkjet and laser printers at great prices. In addition to a comprehensive range of ink and toner cartridges, it provides expert customer service, free delivery and a 100% product guarantee.

About the expert

Born in Wolverhampton, John Sollars has used the lessons learnt in the last recession of the 90s and in running his two previous businesses to become a successful web entrepreneur. Stinkyink.com was set up in 2002 and sells a huge range of printer consumables online.

Despite a tough start when a series of credit card fraudsters nearly bankrupted him, John now employs ten staff, has grown Stinkyink.com to a turnover of £3m, and expects a 50% rise on that in 2010. A firm believer in supporting his local community, part of the profits are used to support local sports teams and events, such as sponsoring a series of Music in the Church concerts to raise funds for Alveley Church, supporting the Royal British Legion poppy appeal as well as the County Air Ambulance.

Outside work, John finds time for walking the dog, fitting in a few rounds of golf and cheering on his football team, Wolverhampton Wanderers.
